Ja Pierdole – TBC% ABV
Brew Date: 6th July 2019
Style: American Oatmeal Pale Ale
Notes: TBC

Smoke Me A Kipper – 5.5% ABV
Brew Date: 18th May 2019
Style: Stout
Notes: Full bodied stout with a heavy, Rauchbier-inspired smokey flavour. Kinda like a lovely smoked German cheese, but… y’know… a beer. Extrabody and depth of flavour was added with the inclusion of bourbon soaked French oak chips mid-way through fermentation.

Hefelhoff – 5.6% ABV
Brew Date: 1st June 2019
Style: Hefeweizen
Notes: Lovely, hazy German-style wheat beer. A fuckton of peaches give it a lovely fruity, almost tropical flavour.

Dr. Blunder’s Peeler – 5.5% ABV
Brew Date: 1st June 2019
Style: Strong Bitter/ESB
Notes: Clone of West Berkshire Brewery‘s ‘Dr. Hexter’s Healer’. More to follow when fermented.

Dangerworm – 3.5% ABV
Brew Date: 9th February 2019
Style: Oatmeal Pale Ale
Notes: Guest brewed by Drew (for whom this beer is nicknamed), this recipe is an evolution of Borkweiser. With more Carapils and Caraaroma, this oatmeal pale has a huge malty character but this is beautifully balanced by the late hop editions of Chinook and Cascade. We also dropped the quantity of base malts a little to make this more of a session ale.

Kiwi Bogan 5.5% ABV
Brew Date: 2nd February 2019
Style: IPA
Notes: Originally intended to be a DIPA, I didn’t get anywhere near the efficiency to get the O.G. I needed. Instead, this turned out to be on the more tame side of the IPA range. An obscene volume of hops give this pale ale a huge flavour, with the citra really shining through. New Zealand Wai-Iti adds a distinct je-ne-sais-quois to the hop profile, along with the earthiness from my allotment grown challenger.

Skin of Evil – >9% ABV
Brew Date: 2nd February 2019
Style: Imperial Milk Stout
Notes: Originally planned as a breakfast stout, I changed my mind half way through fermenting this pokey little number, instead turning out a deceptively drinkable imperial stout. The ‘gloop’ part comes from the fact that this stout near as dammit killed my wort transfer pump, resulting in a very slow, gloopy transfer to the fermenter. Lost original gravity reading, hence the ‘>’ in the ABV.
Subtle chocolate flavours coming from late addition of cacao nibs to the boil. Extremely thick, rick body and mouthfeel with plenty of sweetness from the lactose sugar.

Kentucky Evil – >10% ABV
Brew Date: 2nd February 2019
Style: Imperial Milk Stout
Notes: A twist on ‘Skin of Evil’. Same recipe, only tinctured with a shot of hyper-oaked bourbon. Absolutely beautiful. Smooth, eminently drinkable… if you enjoy falling over a lot. Bottled it in pints… mistake.

Milky Joe – 4.4% ABV
Brew Date: 13th January 2019
Style: Milk Stout
Notes: Well…. coconutty… duh. A whole bunch of toasted coconut added in mash and also during secondary. Lesson learned – use a pair of tights or something to make it easier to remove the used coconut at the end of the fermentation. I didn’t… result… little flecks of coconut in some bottles. Best drunk fresh, as the flavour starts to head towards earthy rather than coconutty as time has gone on.
